London Fashion Week Festival: My Highlights

London Fashion Week

Today I spent the day on the Strand in London with one of my friends at the London Fashion Week Festival. I had a lovely day and am, as usual, dying to share it with you all.  Whilst we we’re there we spent  the most part looking at all the designer stalls featuring clothes, shoes and accessories. We were in fashion heaven! I even had a bit of a fan girl moment when I saw Rosie from Made in Chelsea working on her stall. As always I was far embarrassed to approach her and instead attempted to act aloof. Not sure it worked.

The event was sponsored by the Polaroid camera company Instax. This meant we had a bunch of Polaroids taken of us against various back drop that we were able to keep, which was really sweet.  For the second half we went to see the Trends Catwalk show put on in Partnership with Avenue 32. For any of you that don’t know Avenue 32 is an online luxury shopping boutique. Anyway the Trend catwalk was really exciting and I’m going to share the biggest trends from it with you guys.

London Fashion Week – The Trend Catwalk:

  • Micro Florals- As usual for spring florals are in. However this year they’re tiny. Try novel necklines and languid silhouettes to update the maxi dress for this season.
  • Ruffles Reinvented- This seasons ruffles are less romantic and more sexy. Add some mesh or cool tones to complete this look.
  • The Shoulder Show- Keep your shoulders in the limelight as a classy way to show some skin. The straps and sleeves on the catwalk this season have been really inventive so it’s definitely worth giving it a shot your self, whether it be off the shoulder or strapless.

If you click the links above they should redirect you to videos of some of the best looks from the show. Differently worth looking at if you’re keen to be on trend this season. The rest of the photos below are just from different snippets of my day. As usual I hope you’ve found this blog post useful and feel free to leave questions or comments below. Enjoy 🙂 xxx
