A Smoothie a Day Keeps the Doctor Away: My favourite healthy smoothies for the new year!

Since getting my blender at university making a smoothie has become common practice for me. So I thought I’d share with you my favourite smoothies. None of them require large amounts of ingredients and so make for an affordable snack or meal in your day. 

Green Smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 1/3 cup alpro go-on plain yoghurt- (greek yoghurt would also work)
  • 2tbsp pumpkin seeds

Green Smoothie

Chocolate Orange Smoothie:

  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup alpro plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2tbsp pure cocoa powder
  • 1tbsp pumpkin seed
  • 1 handful ice

Very Berry Breakfast :

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/8 cup cherries 
  • 1tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tbsp honey

Hot Chocolate Smoothie:

  • 1/4 cup of oats
  • 2tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup alpro plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 frozen banana

Hot Chocolate Smoothie

Raspberry ‘Milk’shake :

  • 1 cup almond milk unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup alpro plain yoghurt
  • 1/3 cup raspberries
  • 1tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • handful of ice 

Raspberry Smoothie

 

Watermelon Sorbet:

  • 1/4 of chopped watermelon
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1tbsp honey
  • 2 handfuls ice
